​Policies for Regular SJP LGA Niner Play

  • All official golf SJP LGA Niner rounds should be completed within 2 hours, unless otherwise specified by the Pro Shop.
  • Forward V and VI will be used for play. The following will apply:
    • EVERYONE must annually select their tee of choice prior to the start of the Niner golf season, and are required to play from that tee for the entire season
  • Scrambles will be played from the V tees unless otherwise stated prior to the weekly golf signup
  • ABCD-Play from your selected tee with the appropriate strokes (dots) given for that tee.
  • Niners Championship - To participate in the Championship you must play a minimum of 10 times in the Niner league from the start of the Niner season up to the Championship.   There will be separate flights for the V and VI tees.  The overall Gross and Net Champions will be determined by the winner from the V tees.  VI tee players are eligible to win within their respective flight(s).  T
  • The ball will be played as it lies, unless otherwise announced by the Pro Shop.  
  • Handicaps are based upon the most current USGA Handicap Index, with a maximum of 45.0 (eff. 05/2022).  
  • USGA Rules will prevail, except where modified by St. James and Local Rules, unless otherwise announced.  
  • Golfers with a Recreational Handicap are not eligible to play in SJP LGA Niner competitions.   
  • ​Ringer Cards -  "In order to be eligible for yearly Ringer Card funds you must have played a minimum of 10 times in the Niner League during the Niner season.  For Ringer Card purposes the Niner season will end mid to late October."​​
